These are the cookies we would sneak as much as possible at my Grandmother’s (Nana) house. Kelley would guard as I grabbed and then we would split um! YUM!!

Since he first brought them to work at Martin, I have never seen so many women corner him, demanding the cookies. It is hysterical to watch the ladies get so possessive over the cookies – he usually has to make at least 2, if not 3, batches just so that everybody has a chance to get at least 1! In fact, our standard batch is now 3 batters any time we have to make some.

Aunt Lottie’s Oatmeal Cookies
Picture a cookie that defies expectations. Unlike its traditional counterparts, this oatmeal cookie is a study in contrasts. It sits flat on the baking tray, its edges slightly crisp while the center remains wonderfully chewy. But what sets it apart is its appearance—lightly dusted with a powdery coating of confectioners' sugar, hinting at the sweetness within. Whether enjoyed alone or shared with loved ones, this oatmeal cookie defies expectations and leaves a lasting impression.
