This recipe comes to us from a great pub in Chattanooga that is no longer with us, The Honest Pint. This soup is rich, warm and perfect for those chilly nights.

Sausage and Potato Soup

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a medium stockpot melt the butter and brown the sausages.
  1. Once brown, add the celery and the onions, and saute for 5 minutes.
  1. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture, and whisk in to prevent lumps.
  1. Slowly stir in the chicken stock, cream, milk, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper
  1. Simmer until potatoes are just tender
